Privacy policy terms

The processing of personal data, such as the name, address, e-mail address, or telephone number of a data subject shall always be in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (European Union) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the DSGVO (Germany).

General data and information

The website of Prion 2020 collects general data and information about the visitor, when the website is called up. This general data and information are stored in the server log files:

  • browser types and versions used
  • operating system used by the accessing system
  • website from which an accessing system reaches our website (so-called referrers)
  • sub-websites
  • date and time of access to the Internet site
  • Internet protocol address (IP address)
  • Internet service provider of the accessing system

These general data and information will not be used or processed by the NRZ-TSE or other third parties. Nor will any information be forwarded, except this information is needed to provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for criminal prosecution in case of a cyber-attack. The data of the server log files are stored separately from personal data recorded during the congress registration process.

Congress registration

Visitors of the website have the possibility to register as congress participant on the website with the indication of personal data that is determined by the input mask used for the registration. The personal data are collected and stored exclusively for internal use by the NRZ-TSE.

By registering on the website of the NRZ-TSE, the IP address, and time of the registration are also stored. This data is stored to prevent the misuse of the services. This data is not passed on to third parties unless there is a statutory obligation to pass on the data, or if the transfer serves the aim of criminal prosecution.

The registration of the data subject and the voluntary indication of personal data, is intended to enable the NRZ-TSE to offer the data subject contents or services that may only be offered to registered congress participants. Registered persons are free to change the personal data specified during the registration at any time, or to have them completely deleted from the data stock of the NRZ-TSE

The NRZ-TSE shall, at any time, provide information upon request to each data subject as to what personal data are stored about the data subject. In addition, the NRZ-TSE shall correct or erase personal data at the request or indication of the data subject, insofar as there are no statutory storage obligations. A Data Protection Officer particularly designated in this data protection declaration, as well as the entirety of the employees at the NRZ-TSE are available to the data subject in this respect as contact persons.

Congress information/ newsletter

The NRZ-TSE offers all registered congress participants the opportunity to order additional congress information such as the scientific program or lecture abstracts. This information is sent to the email address of the registered participant. The legal base of the data procession is the consent that is given by the participant at registration. It can be withdrawn by the participant any time by sending an email to the NRZ-TSE. The legal base for the processing of the email data is Article 6 Paragraph 1 b of the German DSGVO.

Usage of Google Maps

The Prion 2020 website uses Google Maps API. By using Google Maps, Google collects, processes and uses data of visitors of the google maps feature. For more information, please read [https://policies.google.com/privacy].

Contact us

Users of the website and registered congress participants have the opportunity to contact the NRZ-TSE via email or phone. If you contact us, given data will be used solely to answer your request. The legal base for the processing of the data is Article 6 Paragraph 1 f of the German DSGVO.

Users‘ rights

Users of the website and registered congress participants have the right to request disclosure about all collected data and the purpose of the data storage. Upon users’ request, data has to be deleted and incorrect data has to be corrected. They have also the right to raise a complaint at the responsible data privacy controlling authority. Users of the website and registered congress participants have the right to enter an objection against the processing of any data at any time. In this case, the data shall not be used or processed by the NRZ-TSE. Nor will any information be forwarded, except this information is needed to provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for criminal prosecution.
